House of Skye X Clean Up Australia

House of Skye X Clean Up Australia
Posted on

We’ve previously mentioned in our weekly newsletters and blog posts that myself and the House of Skye team have been gearing up for our very first Clean Up Australia Day event and what a day it was! We chose to tackle a great local family park and beach close to the HOS Office, the park is somewhere I often go for walks so I thought it was only natural to pick this incredibly beautiful spot.

We completed our clean up with 15 amazing volunteers, a wonderful mix of family, friends and customers who were all so very passionate about contributing as for the most of us, the event was a first for many of us in a long while – probably since our school days! Once we started, we quickly realised that it was something that we would love to commit to and undertake annually. In under 2 hours, we had removed 6 full bags of rubbish, a huge effort from everyone involved.
The day was a complete success and again I want to thank everyone that joined us and of course, the Clean Up Australia organisation for reminding us all, that the purity and preservation of our country starts and ends with us. We look forward to working with you again next year.
