A Mother's Day Interview with Tash & her Mum!

A Mother's Day Interview with Tash & her Mum!
Posted on

With Mother's Day this weekend, we wanted to dedicate some time to the wonderful Mums in our life. We sat down for an interview with Tash to ask her about her beautiful mum, Chris.

Tell us about your mum: My mum is a wonderful person who brings light and joy to my life in so many ways, especially as I have gotten older; I have grown so close to this amazing women. She inspires me to be a better person and I love that I can be open and honest with her at all times.

What is your fondest memory? My fondest memories are from my polaroid pics when I was a young child travelling with mum, always looking so stylish for that time. My mum always had me dressed in the nicest threads and captured us perfectly in these moments. I was always destined to be in Fashion when I look at these. My mum got me to enjoy dressing up from an early age.

What do you appreciate about your mum? My mum is my superhero. She means the world to me and I feel very blessed and lucky to have her in my life as well as her being part of my business. I love working with her because she always tells me the truth when I need to hear it, and she always has my back.

What has been the most important thing your mum has taught you? My mum has taught me so many amazing life choices that I live by. To always treat others how you would like to be treated, to never judge a book by its cover and to work hard and be the best person you can possibly be in the short life that we are given.

What's your favourite thing to do together? I think my favourite thing to do is to travel with my mum, when we get the chance to with work. We get along so well and get to learn so many new things together along the way, as well as share so many precious moments to cherish. My other favourite thing is to just hang out and catch up with a wine; chat about life, work and anything else we think to talk about. We always have a good laugh with our crazy sense of humour.

What about you, Chris?

(That's right! We also got Tash's Mum to tell us about her daughter)

What was Tash like as a kid? Tash was very shy growing up, but always good natured and very easy going. She has always been very independent, kind to others and enjoyed the family environment. Tash really enjoyed sport and being active; especially working in a team, with a great team spirit.

Your favourite memory together? For the first 6 years of Tash’s life, it was just the two of us. I have super fond memories of dressing Tash up in adorable children clothes. She always loved pretty dresses and loved to dress up with me.

What has Tash taught you? Working with Tash has taught me the other side of the clothing and designing for each collection. The work that is involved from starting a collection to the finish has opened my eyes to the hard work, love and passion that it takes from paper to delivering in stores. Tash has also given me the confidence to run part of the business while she is travelling and taught me a huge range computer skills.

What do you appreciate about your daughter? I appreciate that she has worked so hard and is so passionate about her business. It brings me great joy to see how successful she is becoming and that she has always stayed grounded and true to herself.

What is it like to work together? I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Tash over the last 4 years, with lots of fun and laughter during this time. I love that we can enjoy quality time together whether that is here in the office or travelling. As a team we work really well together and bring a lot of ideas to the business.

So from our family to yours, have a happy Mother's Day this Sunday!
