Our Folk Tale inspired collection embodies our love of vintage and embroidery. Keeping with our feminine bohemian luxe feel, we used cotton embroidery, lace, with layers of frills to make you feel like dancing under the new Spring sun.
This seasons colour palate is inspired by our obsession of blues and lilacs which sees the first blossom of spring that covers the Australian hills with vibrant wild flowers.
Our Enchanted print in Orchid and Bluebird sees a fresh hint of their complimentary colours found at the base of the flower taking you back to the wild land of Australia, where horses run wild and the Gypsy's are free
On the Day of our photo shoot we changed locations last minute to a beautiful paddock backing onto an Australian reserve. It was the essence of what inspired this collection, horses running wild and the untouched outback. After gaining the trust of our furry friends we took the horses walking and the images we magical. The horses took a liking to our muse Hannah and the moments with them were real and in the moment of a true gypsy.
Our Bohemian tent was made from a Bunnings stand ($45) and second hand lace and crochet ($55). We like to keep things on a budget so it can be recreated by our lovely customers.
We built the stand and threw a mosquito net over the top and place our op shop finds where we pleased. The rug was an old curtin, which was perfect due to the material being double layered, so there was no moisture underfoot after the cold dewy morning.
After dancing in our tent we had a lunch break, our photographer Ryan Ammon surprised up by picking the guitar and playing us beautiful melodies as we ate.
We went walking through the reserve where we found wild lilies carpeting the forest floor. It was the perfect spot for our next photos. We were surrounded by beautiful Australian trees, flowers and singing birds. We moved on to the border of the forest, now with the setting sun which backlit our muse, we captured soft and elegant images which are some of our best yet. As she spun and danced to our classic 70's music, she was truly a bohemian.
